Brendon Petty | Technical Director
My name is Brendon and my team-appointed title would be "Director of Excessively Technical Explanations." Apparently I cannot communicate without using tech jargon and abbreviating phrases into three character acronyms. I guess it's just a by-product of what I love to do: build systems, equip teams and solve problems. Though I enjoy video directing, you can most often find me behind an equipment rack tweaking something. I mean, if it's been working just fine for a few years, then it could certainly use an adjustment. Or...maybe an entire overhaul...on a Thursday afternoon...@ 3pm. So I like to keep things interesting!
As the Technical Director here at North Point, I have the distinct privilege of leading the geek squad. Seriously, these guys are crazy talented and work extremely hard facilitating fun, engaging and memorable experiences. My favorite part of the week is seeing 40 volunteers execute a full scale production and remain virtually invisible every Sunday morning. They are rock stars and nobody even knows it! It's definitely an honor to serve with this team.
Shane Stephens | Multi-Campus Video Director
My name is Shane Stephens and I am the Multi-Campus Message Director. I work with the video production team that travels from campus-to-campus to capture the live speaker. On a typical Sunday morning you'll find me carrying around "The Football" just in case things get out of hand. It doesn't launch any nukes, but you never know when you may need to replace a video compression card on the fly. Not to mention it looks pretty impressive - all official looking in my production attire and black security case. Although, that's probably why kids are afraid to stand next to me in the elevator.Anyways, around here, I'm know as "The Body Man." Mostly because you'll usually find me with our pastor or on stage standing in for him during sound check. My favorite thing about Sunday morning is seeing our volunteers come together and pull off some amazing stuff - they are extremely talented and giving. When I'm not in the office, I love listening to music and have a strange infatuation with Zaxbys food and Sequoia trees, although, Zaxbys is probably just a phase.
Clete Terrell | Video Director
So a little bit about me - I am the staff Video Director here at North Point and primarily responsible for translating Brendon’s overly technical explanations into language mere technical mortals can understand. Seriously though, I have the privilege to enhance the message of Sunday mornings by equipping & leading our Sunday morning video volunteers. One thing about my job that gets me excited is watching a team come together and create an environment where the Spirit of God can change lives! I can tend to be a “creative” type and jump around a bit.
So...with that in mind. I am recently married to my wonderful wife Lauren. I love laughter and being giddy. I appreciate creative arts and enjoy still photography. I eat my meals one food at a time. I have a metal plate in my head from getting kicked by a horse. In case you are wondering… it doesn’t set off metal detectors at the airport, it’s titanium! For some reason I like to spell my name with a lower case “c”, but I’m not sure why. I also like to type using a lot of ellipsis’s.... or is it ellipsi plural.... Anyway, I think I made my point.
Dave Stagl | Audio Director
My name is Dave, and I’m the Audio Director at North Point. Mainly, I try and find things for Luke to do. Beyond that I oversee audio production that impacts our Sunday services and ensure everything audio in our auditoriums works. I’m originally from Chicago and moved down to Atlanta in the fall of 2006 to be a part of North Point. I love movies and music, and if I’m not spending time with my family or working you’ll probably find me enjoying one or the other.
Luke Roetman | Associate Audio Director
My name is Luke Roetman and I am the Associate Audio Director here at North Point. I enjoy making things sound good...and loud. If you don't find me on stage patching and pinning for rehearsal or Sunday, you will probably find me researching the latest Apple and Google app updates. What? You mean you didn't know Apple released the 3.0.1.2.1.1a update for the iPhone?!
It's also not uncommon for me to be making lunch plans @ Chipotle with friends and co-workers the moment I get to work. What can I say, I like to hang out with people! I also love music - I have my whole life and it's great to be a part of creating it! Truly, I'm so privileged to get paid to do what feels like volunteering every day. My heart is for the church and to see people come to know Jesus Christ in a genuine, real, and personal way, and being a small part of that is awesome.
Jake Sublett | Associate Lighting|Scenic Director
Hello my name is Edward James Sublett, but everyone calls me Jake. Since my parents never used my given name, I didn’t even know what it was until I was sitting in my first grade classroom and the teacher called role.
Moving past that traumatic trip down memory lane, I am the Associate Lighting and Scenic Director at North Point. This basically means I can be blamed if you are temporarily blinded during a service or if the scenic background is not to your liking. Some of my best ideas come to me while in the shower, wait – that might have been too much information…sorry! I am uber focused when it comes to work and once I zero in on a task it’s hard to concentrate on much else, including my people skills. I think my favorite part about serving with this team is hearing stories about how God moves through the production in ways we could never imagine when we first set out to do our jobs.
Outside of work, I am still a rather artistic, technically minded person. I love hiking, but only for the purpose of taking photos. Travel is my deepest passion, but again for the photographic artistry as much as the adventure. I once drove from Georgia to Alaska on a three-week road race with friends. I also enjoy being involved in missions because it allows me to serve and travel at the same time. At home, my wife, Jennifer, and I are addicted to movies. Forget intelligent lighting fixtures, I think Red Box is by far one of the greatest technological advancements of my lifetime.
